Australian singer/songwriter Meg Washington's highly influential, genre-defying work has been widely recognised. A platinum-selling recording artist and quadruple ARIA award winner, Meg Washington is renowned for her prolific output, her electrifying and soulful live performances, and her unique songwriting style.
After a viral TEDx talk in which she confronted her lifelong stutter, Meg began her voice-acting role as the schoolteacher 'Calypso' in the juggernaut show 'Bluey' in 2018.
In 2020 she delivered her critically acclaimed fourth record, 'Batflowers', which features the song ‘Lazarus Drug’.
With her partner Nick Waterman, Meg co-wrote the feature film screenplay adaptation of Paul Kelly’s classic song ‘How to Make Gravy’. Under their production company, Speech and Drama Pictures, they co-produced the film with Academy Award nominated producer Schuyler Weiss (Elvis) and Warner Bros. Australia. Meg’s fifth studio album arrives in 2025, her first on her own label, Batflower Records.
